TN Trip to Serve the KaRen People & Bible Camp in KY with the Youth
10 days, 2000 miles, Ray, his two daughters Christie & Katie, their two friends Alexis & Miranda in the Suburban pulling a trailer full of donations for the KaRen people in middle Tennessee. We left out Thurs. AM for TN to arrive at Nanny Beverly and Pappa Mike’s house in Antioch (south of Nashville) sometime Friday. We drove straight through and arrived Thursday night around 11:30 PM. Friday we just hung around and visited , ate a lot (Nanny knows how to dress a table!), and rested. Saturday we prepared for the evening benefit concert for the KaRen with our friends at The Covenant Fellowship Church of the Nazarene in Mt. Juliet, TN and what a wonderful and blessed evening it turned out to be. We ate (AGAIN!) and had time of fellowship, music, praise & worship, and even got the blessing of our KaRen brothers & sisters showing up and singing for us! We loaded all our donations up and took them to Murfreesboro that night and said our farewells to all. Sunday AM, we praised and worshiped with Abundant Life Church in Hickory Hollow, TN and we will remember that as an unforgettable experience of love & worship, great preaching & fellowship not to be compared with anything before or since! Sunday evening we stayed in Joelton, TN to prepare for our drive Monday AM to Mt. View Baptist Bible Camp in Monticello, KY. There were 121 of us there, 9 of whom we knew were unsaved and on the prayer list. TMTY’s family sponsored 2 of our youth (traveling with my daughters & me) and by the end of the week, all 9 had received Jesus as their personal Lord & Saviour! No more words are needed.
