Our Navajo brothers are facing a crisis situation where suicide attempts have risen significantly in the last two months. They are lost, forgotten, diminished and despairing. They need to know how much God loves them and how much we care and how valuable they are to the Kingdom of God. The pastors and missionaries are weary and in need of replenishment. TMTY is planning a Native American Spiritual Intervention Mission in August, 2010. Some of the issues to be addressed during this outreach effort include the following:
• Brainstorming with the local Navajo Pastors to delve deeply into the “real” needs there. So many have gone before us to address what they perceive as the need and progress has been slow at best. Revival is in the hearts of “the people” but not until they believe in themselves as God’s creation, created for a purpose in His eyes!
• Identify and meet with the point men there. (First the Navajo leaders, local pastors/churches, and missionaries).
• Continue the ‘Great Connnission’, developing discipleship programs that meet the needs and understanding of general Native American population.
• Expand discipleship through developing trust and relationships with the leaders in the Native American community.
• Determine how best to reach the general N. A. population where they are in relationship to Jesus Christ, us, and each other.
• Maintain and grow existing relationships through events, support, training and fellowship
• Plan for an outreach/revival event in late spring, early summer (2011) to create an atmosphere of unity and love for all to attend. We believe this will open doors to the Gospel of salvation for those who are unsaved and refresh, recharge, reenergize and rededicate those who are.
This trip is scheduled for August, 2010 and we need your support for this vital ministry. TMTY needs to raise $4,500 to cover all costs of this outreach and we trust God and His people to provide. There will be fund-raisers and other public opportunities to be involved but we also depend on our regular supporters and new contributors to sow into this ministry. God has deemed it necessary to step up our efforts of evangelism in this country U.S.A. and this is our
